Press Release

For his first solo exhibition in France and Europe, Thai artist Kitikong Tilokwattanotai is taking us on a journey across time.

Artist from the abstraction movement, Kitikong transports the viewer into a world where past and present combine with harmony. Inspired by the idea that every moment we experience contributes to the construction of our personal history, he captures fugitive moments immortalizing them on paintings transcending the limits of time.

Each creation is an open window on his memory, capturing the true essence of the past moment. As a remarkable master of acrylic on canvas and lacquer, an ancestral technique in Asian art, Kitikong uses vibrant colours, intriguing textures and evocative shapes to recompose forgotten memories.

But Kitikong’s works are not simply still representations of the past. His creations are mirrors of our own experiences, inviting us to consider our memories and revisit our lives. Each composition is a silent conversation between the artist, the artwork and the viewer, revealing hidden narratives and buried emotions.

PASSÉS COMPOSÉS intends to be an original artistic experience in which past and present combine in a visual kaleidoscope, driven by Kitikong Tilokwattanotai unlimited imagination.

This exhibition is the opportunity of a partnership with SAC Gallery, the gallery of Kitikong Tilokwattanotai in Bangkok. SAC Gallery will present on ASIA NOW Art Fair, from OCT 19th to 22nd at la Monnaie de Paris, big size artworks of the artist.

Kitikong Tilokwattanotai is an artist represented by the gallery since 2019.
