Drawing is a universal language, apparently a simple act that can express the complexity of the human mind. It speaks directly to the viewer, but its interpretations are endless. In a digital visual culture where physical interactions with artworks are increasingly supplanted by exposure to screens or virtual realities, the reconsideration of tangible experiences such as the rendering of various materials on paper presents itself as a necessity. The act of drawing is consequently emphasized as a primary form of human expression, both physically and mentally.
By attempting to create a space for reflection around drawing, (ENTRELACS) attempts to understand this medium as an artistic expression, but also as an instinctive language in humans. By the simple fact of looking at a drawing, one can see both inward and outward, immediately understanding the relationship of the artist with the world.
